A while back I bought 4 ballroom dance lessons at a dance studio through Groupon; at the time Bob and I thought it would be fun to try. WRONG. Fun-no, Funny-YES! I thought that I would be a natural and Bob would pick it up pretty fast, but I discovered pretty fast that I was wrong. The instructor (who we shall call Mr. Goodtoes) likes to call us out as well, he will make us show our new skills to the rest of the group while they sit back and have a good chuckle. It isn't that Mr. Goodtoes isn't a good teacher, it is that Bob and I both have two left feet and one wandering arm. I think it might be a good idea to put a hidden camera in the room to see how ungraceful most people are. We would be coming out of a spin and Bob would keep his arm high in the air when it was supposed to be down by his waist or I would miss a step and throw us both off. The first night I think Mr. Goodtoes hit the bar before lessons so he was pretty amused by us, but the second night he seemed to be sober and cut the class off 10 minutes early. Bob and I are pretty sure it was because of us. All in all we had a good time laughing at each other and spending time together. Heck we even came home and practiced so we would nail it on Friday. Although it wouldn't surprise me if Mr. Goodtoes moved on to the Salsa on Friday. We'll see. And sorry, no video cameras were used in the class. Boo hoo, right?
