Minor Improvements

Work is progressing at the new house! As I type, on our list to be finished is installing the floors, fixing the kitchen sink, installing toilets and sinks, a little electrical work and we should be ready! BUT, I am not posting current pictures of our progress because I want to see our families faces when the see what a transformation the house is. So, you all are getting the pre-painted pictures.

Exciting, right?!? I think you all will be amazed at the progress! I can't wait to get the floors down for the grand reveal! P.s.- Total plug for our texture/painters-- RM Painting Company has been AWESOME!! They have far exceeded our expectations! They do great work, are pretty stinkin' fast, reliable, and hard working. I'll plug them again later. 'Cause that's how awesome they have been.

I Helped... A Little

I wanted to put it out there that Bob hasn't been completely alone in this renovation. I did patch a few holes.
I don't actually have proof of me working, just the aftermath of my work.
The lower 5/8 of this wall was covered in holes and tears about every square foot.

I got pretty good towards the end. I was pretty impressed with my patching ability.



Perhaps my talents will come in handy when it comes to picking out paint colors. We'll see.

House Nightmares

Wondering what Bob & Ashley have been up to?


Bob & I purchased another house (his gpa's house) and he has been chipping away at it for the past few months. I, on the other hand, have been doing the usual of work, school, house duties, errands, and such.

First off, let me say that I have no intention of hurting anyone's feelings. But I have to admit, this house is a piece of doo-doo. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into.

After grandpa was all moved out we (and I mean Bob) got busy. I am providing pictures so you (our family and friends) can share our experience with us.

I tried to give the trash pile away a few times, but no one accepted my offer. Go figure.

Now you all know our dirty little secret. We are closet DIY'ers in the making!
What has surprised me is that no matter what we find we can eventually find the humor in the mess.
